The confession was a student made opening scene which is about a man who committed a sin, possibly murder, and then looked to his faith for forgiveness. Its not as simply as we have presented it. Even though the 2 min opening clip was full of angles, shots, use of colour and contrast, distortion and lack of speech(which hooked(enigma code)the viewer). It did have its down sides which were that, the viewer was very confused about what was going on as the narrative was not structured properly because everything was given away in the beginning of the clip.
