preliminary video
This is our Preliminary Task that we had to do before out official 2 min opening sequence to a film, as practice for using the cameras and software. We needed to experiment with shots such as;Over the shoulder shots, shot reverse shot, close ups and the 180 degree rule. We then edited and put the scenes together on the new edition of i movies. We opted to filmed a scene with a police woman, a suspect and the police woman's assistant. The sequence shows the suspect being questioned and him refusing to give answers. The purpose of this task was essentially, to experiment with the shots and angles, to identify what we needed in our 2 minute sequence. This task ave us an understanding of how difficult the procedure was and the amount of work that goes into just a 30 second sequence. You could say it opened our eyes to the workload we would need to put in the official two minute opening sequence. We got many positives out of the preliminary task however, as we could prepare what we needed for final filming and we got an idea of timing, sequencing and continuity.
